Question: I don't see in the Calculator's results the Risk Factor that was available in the previous version of the Calculator. What happened to it?

Answer:

The Risk Factor that in the old version of the Calculator was displayed next to each Lunar Conception moment was the result of our attempt to restore the approach of Dr. Jonas from the tiny bits of information that we could find in the literature. Basically, we have counted certain stressful configurations in the cosmic pattern of the day: the more of them - the higher the risk factor.

However, further research has shown that Dr. Jonas used a different approach to the problem of viability of birth. The main point here is the mother's potential of fertility that often can be discovered from her astrological birth chart. If the mother is highly fertile and her birth chart is harmonic, even strong cosmic disturbances at the moment of conception (high Risk Factor) will not do much harm, if any at all.

On the other hand, if the woman's inborn fertility is low or there is a significant disharmony in her birth chart, even a minor cosmic disturbance at the moment of conception can cause a problem. In such a case, a thorough analysis is needed in order to find a date of conception when some beneficial factors will compensate the adverse natal potential.

This was the reason why we decided to remove Risk Factor from the results of the calculation: it can be quite misleading if the birth chart potential of the mother is not taken into account.

Calculation of Lunar Conception moments and baby gender can be easily automated, but discovering the inborn fertility potential and finding out the period when a beneficial influence can compensate existing problems isn't something that can be trusted to a program. It should be done by an experienced practitioner skilled in traditional astrology, and this is exactly what we are offering as a personal consultation to those who need it.
